What is EAGLE 3×3 VCS?
Specialized video-challenge system for 3×3 basketball: fast, mobile and fully compliant with FIBA terminology. The goal is a clear and quick decision with maximum transparency towards the crew, audience and TV production.
Step by step
Step 1: Challenge request
The team is looking for a challenge. The referee stops the game and verbally states the correct FIBA term (eg Out-of-bounds review, Shot clock review).
Step 2: Approach the operator
The referee immediately approaches the challenge operator and specifies which action the request refers to (time, location, players).
Step 3: View all cameras
The operator on the EAGLE console opens all available angles (SDI/NDI). Marks the moment of the event, changes speed and zoom, compares angles.
Step 4: Picture-in-Picture (PiP)
The system automatically displays the main action + scoreboard (game clock, shot clock, score, team fouls) in a small window. PiP can go to LED/TV and internal preview image for judges.
Step 5: Making a decision
The referee confirms the best frame and announces the decision (correction or confirmation of the original call). The operator optionally marks the clip for the archive.
Step 6: Continuation of the game
The game continues immediately. If the decision is corrected, the team’s challenge is not spent; if not, the challenge is counted as used.
